Devon Jobson

Devon Jobson is in his first year as the the Director of Bands at Lawrence North High School and is one of four directors for The Marching Pride of Lawrence Township. Previously, he was the band director at South Oldham Middle School, and earned a bachelor's degree in music education from the University of Kentucky.

Devon's duties at Lawrence North include conducting the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble, pit orchestra, team teaching the Marching Pride of Lawrence Township, teaching lessons to students in the program, and assists with the Fall Creek Valley Middle School Band. His students have achieved top honors in all district, all state, solo and ensemble, and district assessment.

As a performer, he has performed with the University of Kentucky's Wind Symphony, Jazz Ensemble, and Symphony Orchestra. He has been part of ensembles performing at the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic, National Concert Band Festival, and the American Trombone Workshop. He also has spent two summers at the Sewanee Summer Music Festival, was been a frequent performer with the Lexington Brass Band, and marched with the Bluecoats in 2019.
