Corey Burrow
Corey Burrow is the Associate Director of Bands and Director of Orchestras at Lawrence North HS and a Director of The Marching Pride of Lawrence Township. Mr. Burrow's duties include team teaching the Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble. Additionally, Mr. Burrow serves as a Woodwind Sectional coach for the Wind Ensemble, Directs the Pep Band for both Boys and Girls Varsity Basketball, and leads the Show Choir Backup Band. Previously, Mr. Burrow served as the Assistant Marching Band Director at Bloom-Carroll HS in Lancaster, Ohio and taught Middle School Orchestra in Southwestern City School District, Grove City, Ohio.
Mr. Burrow has performed with various Drum Corps International groups such as Legends, Blue Stars, and The Bluecoats and remains an active participant in the Marching Arts teaching with Central Crossing Indoor Percussion, Cap City Indoor Percussion, and Legends Drum and Bugle Corps. From Lancaster, Ohio, Mr. Burrow got his degree in Music Education from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio studying Saxophone with Dr. Mathew James and Jordan Reed. He also received his Minor in Conducting studying under Directors Dr. Andrew Trachsel, Dr. Richard Suk, and Dr. William Talley. During his time at OU, Mr. Burrow performed with the Ohio University Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and University Bands as well as OU Choral Union, Jazz Ensembles and Combos, various Saxophone Quartets, and student run A Capella group Resonance. |
